This was revealed by Premier and Minister of Finance, Hon Andrew A. Fahie while a guest on the Morning Braff Show on Tola Radio VI with host Floyd Burnett aka ‘Heritage’.
“Right now, today when I got my numbers, we are, thank God have moved down to 16 active positive cases. We were at 20 but 4 have recovered. Thank God for that,” Premier Fahie said.
Honourable Fahie also said almost 9000 persons have now been vaccinated.
The Premier was at the time responding to a question of the possibility of day trips to St Thomas, US Virgin Islands once the seaports reopen to international operations on April 15, 2021.
He said while it may be possible to return the same day from St Thomas, persons would still have to observe a 4-day quarantine once they return to the VI.
He suggested the quarantine could be removed; however, once the majority of the territory is vaccinated.
