VI's 3x3 basketballers depart for Jr PanAm Games tomorrow

The Virgin Islands' 3x3 basketball team for the inaugural Junior Pan American Games in Cali, Colombia will depart these shores tomorrow, November 30, 2021.

The VI will be represented in basketball at a major games for the first time since appearing at the CAC Games in 2010 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.

The D’Andre Mitcham, Stephano Paul, Michael Richardson Jr, and Shakeem Tyson have been selected to form the 3×3 basketball team competing at the Pan American Courts in Cali from December 2 to 5, 2021.

According to coach Trever Stevens aka 'West', who will be travelling with the team, the players' preparations went well.

The VI delegation to Cali 2021 also includes, Lloyd K. Black (Secretary General, BVIOC), coaches Chris Watters (sailing), Ralston Henry (athletics) and physiotherapist, Levi James.

Accoring to reports, President of the BVI Basketball Federation, Derrick R. Varlack is already in Cali.

According to coach Trever Stevens aka 'West', who will be travelling with the team, the players' preparations went well.
