VI's active COVID-19 cases increase to 109; 8 hospitalized
Active COVID-19 cases in the Virgin Islands (VI) have increased to 109 with 8 current hospitalizations as of December 20, 2021, according to the latest stats released by the Ministry of Health.
45 of the cases are local, 30 of the cases are close contacts of cases, 20 were recorded through travel screening, 6 via entry screening day 7, and 8 recorded during entry screening day 0.
17K fully vaccinated
96 of the cases are currently on Tortola with 13 on Virgin Gorda according to the stats.
As it related to vaccination, 17,005 persons are fully vaccinated while 1,427 persons have been partially vaccinated.
The stats also indicated that all cases and close contacts of cases are in quarantine.
