VICSA launches advocacy programme for Public Officers

In an effort to bring about change that will make the public service a better place the Virgin Islands Civil Service Association (VICSA) has said it will launch an advocacy programme for public officers.

According to a press release from VICSA, today, Wednesday, June 1, 2022, VICSA will launch its first-ever advocacy programme that is designed to reach current and potential members throughout the public service with the purpose of reinforcing values while explaining the benefits of being a member.

The initiative will also call attention to issues or problems, identify solutions, and coordinate efforts.

President of the VICSA Ms Sasha D.A. Flax said, “This advocacy programme gives us an opportunity as liaisons to be a listening ear or a voice for the members of the public service.”

“It is our desire to be available and willing to assist members and potential members with information ranging from benefits and rewards, conflict resolution, or any professional difficulties they may be facing,” she further stated.

Other members of the current executive body will be on standby to assist with any question that may arise from out of the public service.
