Vincy man beats ex after refused sex; threatens to chop her up

A national of St Vincent and the Grenadines is in police custody after he allegedly beat his ex-lover and threatened to chop her up last night, October 29, 2020.

According to reports reaching our newsroom, the incident occurred at an apartment at Admiralty Estate Complex on Tortola around 8:00pm.The victim was allegedly rescued by other persons in the apartment.

Our newsroom was told that persons in the neighborhood had overheard a woman screaming for help and upon investigating they noticed the Vincy man beating her. They reportedly had to wrestle with the man for the beatings to stop.

Refused sex


Further reports state that the accused attempted to make love to his ex-girlfriend but his advances were refused. Shortly after the accused allegedly overheard the ex-girlfriend having a conversation with his current lover and confronted her (ex), threatening to chop her up.

It is alleged that the woman, being aware that the man sleeps with a machete under his bed, attempted to leave the apartment but he pursued her and allegedly hit her with an object to her foot, while threatening to chop her up.

He then allegedly grabbed the woman her by the hair and began to unleash blows on her face and other parts of her body.

After two roommates managed to get the accused to release the woman, she reportedly ran into hiding until police arrived.

The man was subsequently taken into custody.
