The initiative is being done through a collaboration with Premier Fahie and local District Representatives across the territory, where no one will go hungry on Christmas Day.
“It was indeed a pleasure working with my four Territorial Members and each District Representative in true unity as we remember the true reason for the season,” Hon Fahie said in a release from the Government.
Premier Fahie speaking to Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) today, December 24, 2021, said, “It's our Cultural Christmas initiative to taste the way we prepare our foods during Christmas and enjoy our music during Christmas in the BVI as we remember the reason for the season which is the birth of Jesus Christ."
The Premier added, “Both residents and visitors are invited to be a part of this while adhering to all Health Protocols. Happy Holidays and God's Blessings.”
At the events, COVID-19 public health measures such as social distancing and mask-wearing are expected to be strictly followed.
