VIP & NDP wrap up political campaign with motorcades

VIP & NDP wrap up political campaign with motorcades

One the eve of Election Day in the Virgin Islands, two of the major political parties, the National Democratic Party (NDP) and the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) wrapped up their campaign with separate motorcades on Sunday, April 23, 2023.

Both motorcades on Tortola had many vehicles, despite the heavy rainfall earlier in the day.

The VIP motorcade started after the NDP’s but grew larger, near the size of its motorcade in 2019, as it did a loop of the island and lasted well into the evening.

There was also a VIP motorcade in the Ninth District and reports are the Progressive Virgin Islands Movement (PVIM) Candidate Hon Shereen D. Flax-Charles also had one.

Independent Seventh District Candidate Perline R. Scatliffe-Leonard, who has been endorsed by the NDP, had a small motorcade in the district.

PVIM, instead of a motorcade, held a rally at Noel Lloyd Positive Action Movement Park.

The Virgin Islands Party (VIP) has been comparing its last lap motorcade on April 23, 2023, to that of four years ago before it was voted into office.
