A September 17 notice from the Ministry of Health said persons will now be allowed to visit the hospital under special measures from 10 am to 2 pm daily.
“Only one visitor is allowed at a time for a maximum of 30 minutes. Special considerations will be given for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, ICU, Paediatrics, and patients with special circumstances,” the notice stated.
The notice also said elective surgeries will be gradually re-introduced while urgent surgical cases will take place from 8:30 am to 1 pm on Mondays to Fridays.
Outpatient and community clinics will be open from 8 am to 3 pm daily and provide services for priority and high-risk cases by appointment only. However, the community clinics on the sister islands will be open to provide urgent and emergency care 24 hours per day, seven days a week.
The notice also informed the public that pharmacy services are available for drop-offs and pickups from 8:30 am to 3 pm.
Residents are asked to either call in their prescriptions at 284-852-7556 or 284-852-7659 or WhatsApp to 284-440-1726 between 8 am to 3 pm from Monday to Friday.
All persons utilising any of the services are reminded to adhere to the COVID-19 protocols which include regularly washing their hands or using sanitiser, maintaining social distancing, and always wearing a mask.
