Noting that it has been a ‘historical event of Virgin Islands Emancipation Festival, the Virgin Islands Festival and Fairs Committee (VIF&FC) has been successful in coordinating the return of “Tramp”.

Speaking at a press conference on July 11, 2022, promoter Mr Stuart Donovan said Tramp will be held on July 22, 2022, starting at Purcell.

“We are having what we call a warmup tramp. It’s a historical event that use to happen around festival when we would have our bands on the road and we are bringing that back this year.

The band for the warmup Tramp is ABM, (All about Music), “and they are going to be on the road. It’s going to be from Purcell into the Festival Village. It is also a form of fundraiser and fun awareness, just getting everyone back into the festival groove,” Mr Donovan stated.

The VI Emancipation Festival will be held from July 27 to August 5, 2022, under the theme ‘Celebrating Freedom for Me and You, BVI Festival 2022’.
