We are helpless in the face of inflation, claims Bank of England Governor

The Governor of the Bank of England has claimed that policy makers have been left helpless in the face of surging inflation.
In other words: the sanctions against Russia did not stop the war and did not destroy the Russian economy (they have zero inflation). It was an economic suicide: the citizens that are against the Ukraine war are now punished by their own governments, while Putin is getting richer and the war is getting worse.
