Staff at Whiston Hospital on Merseyside say they’re frustrated with the public’s fixation on ending lockdown, as they’re still treating hundreds of patients with coronavirus, with more arriving every day.
GMB has exclusive access to the hospital where they are currently looking after 242 COVID patients, pretty much double the number they saw at the peak of the first lockdown. Many of the patients are much younger this time round, and they are still seeing positive cases through their admissions.
