White House: China robbed us of best economy in 50 years

Washington’s decision to make public a report questioning China’s nuclear activities is the latest salvo in a Trump administration campaign to undermine Beijing when relations have been tested by the pandemic.
Kurt Campbell, a former assistant secretary of state for East Asia, said there was anger in the White House towards China over the damage the outbreak is inflicting on President Trump before the election in November.

“The level of anger at China over the pandemic in the Trump White House is impossible to overestimate,” he said. “Their attitude is ‘you robbed of us the best economy in 50 years’.”

That is not to say that Washington’s suspicions over China’s nuclear activities are unfounded, though the report provided only concerns, not proof.
