Wife pulls out pepper spray, husband allegedly draws gun!

An argument between a couple over suspicion of infidelity allegedly resulted in the wife pulling out pepper spray to defend herself and the husband allegedly picking up a gun while at Mayaba Estate on Saturday July 24, 2021.

According to reports reaching our newsroom from sources close to the situation, the wife lives in the US Virgin Islands (USVI) but would regularly visit her husband of 3 years on Tortola.

The quarrel between the two reportedly started when the husband allegedly accused the wife of being unfaithful while she was reportedly on the phone with her mother.

Alleged pepper spray vs gun

During the argument, the husband allegedly choked the wife; however, she pulled out a pepper spray. The husband allegedly picked up a gun and took the wife’s iPhone and iPad and threw water on them.

He also allegedly took the woman’s passport.

The wife reportedly ran to a nearby house and asked them to call the police.

While waiting on the police to arrive, the husband allegedly turned up at the neighbour’s house and reportedly demanded that the wife gets in his vehicle.

At this time, our newsroom was told, the sister of the husband turned up, which resulted in the husband leaving the scene.

The matter was reported to the police.

It is unclear if any arrests have been made.

According to reports, the wife was only interested in retrieving her passport so she could promptly leave the territory.
