British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Friday he was sure he would still be prime minister in October, following questions over his future after being fined by police for breaching the strict lockdown rules he set during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as lying to the parliament.

Asked during a news conference in India whether he would still be prime minister in October, when he wants to have completed a free trade deal with India, Johnson replied: "Yes".

Time will tell if this time he said the true, for a change.
