According to reports reaching our news centre, police were summoned to the emergency unit of Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital to investigate an incident of abuse that allegedly occurred around 8:00pm on Saturday, January 16, 2021.

It is reported that a female had her face slammed against the dashboard of the vehicle of her partner while in the Baughers Bay Community.

The woman alleged that as she and the accused were driving past a popular night club and bar in Baughers Bay, she turned to look at the establishment. The man asked her why was she looking at the club and was not happy with her reply.

Woman was injured during beating

As he result, the man allegedly punched the woman in the face, bursting her lips.

He also allegedly grabbed her by the hair and slammed her face against the dashboard.

Police are said to be investigating the incident; however, it is not clear at this time if the accused has been taken into custody.
