Yacht owner allegedly rapes employee during taxi ride in USVI

The owner of a yacht was arrested Saturday afternoon, April 10, 2021, for allegedly raping one of his employees while they were on a taxi from Red Hook to Yacht Haven Grande, police spokesman Toby Derima has announced.
According to the news release, on Saturday at roughly 1:30 pm, police arrested 67-year-old Hugh D. Fuller, Jr of Boca Raton, Florida, and charged him with first-degree rape and unlawful sexual contact.

Mr Derima said an investigation into this matter revealed that Fuller, the owner of a vessel, sexually assaulted a female steward of the vessel during a taxi ride from Red Hook to Yacht Haven Grande.

The assault was reported to the vessel’s captain, who subsequently called 911.

Unable to make bail of $100,000, Fuller was turned over to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing.
