Yan Edwards is man killed in EE

Aware that next of kin has been informed, Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) can disclose that the man gunned down at a bar in East End has been identified as Yan Edwards.

Mr Edwards was fatally shot at a bar in Parham Town around 6:00 PM on Monday, February 6, 2023.

“The RVIPF can confirm that one man was fatally wounded following a shooting incident near a bar in the Parham Town area. No other information is available at this time, Police stated last evening.

Mr Edwards was one of two persons found guilty of the 2011 murder of Keri Harrigan in March 2013 and sentenced to life in prison with no eligibility for parole.

The conviction was subsequently thrown out in the Court of Appeal in April 2018 and a new trial started.

Mr Edwards was reportedly out on bail.

A man, who was recently released from Her Majesty's Prison, was been gunned down at a bar in East End this afternoon, February 6, 2023.
