YOURBVI Tourism Awareness Programme launches May 19, 2023

"It’s time for each resident of this Territory to embrace tourism as an important engine for personal and national economic growth."

This is according to the BVI Tourist Board and Film Commission (BVITB) as it announced the launch date of the YOURBVI Tourism Awareness Programme.

According to BVITB in a press release today, May 12, 2023, the programme is a new campaign aimed at building awareness of the importance of tourism and the important role each resident plays in creating a positive experience for guests visiting our destination.

YOURBVI Tourism Awareness Programme will be launched at 3:00 PM on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Moorings Mariner Yacht Club Chart Room.

Among those giving remarks will be Premier & Minister of Finance Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7), Junior Minister for Culture and Tourism Mrs Luce D. Hodge-Smith (R4), Chair of the BVI Tourist Board & Film Commission Mrs Delma Maduro, and Director of Tourism Mr Clive McCoy.

Tourism and Financial Services are considered the two main economic pillars of the Virgin Islands.

Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) will be one of the speakers at the launch of the YOURBVI Tourism Awareness Programme on May 19, 2023.
