Leverick Bay Poker Run Returns After Three-Year Hiatus for 19th Anniversary

The Leverick Bay Poker Run, a fundraising event in Virgin Gorda, is being held on May 28, 2023 after a three-year hiatus due to COVID-19 restrictions.
It is the 19th anniversary of the event, which features new stops including Loose Mongoose and Saba Rock, along with other stops like Pirate's Bight on Norman Island, Foxy's Taboo on Jost van Dyke, and the Tortola Pier Park.

The after-party at Leverick Bay is powered by Mr Nice Guy and will feature a fashion show, buffet, drinks, and prize-giving ceremony.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Virgin Gorda Charitable Trust, which will distribute the funds to local charities, including the Animal Rescue Control of Virgin Gorda.

The event was founded in 2001 by Nick and Monica Willis and has raised over $155,000 USD in cumulative donations since its inception.

The 2019 Poker Run had a record number of participants with approximately 150 boats in attendance and a crowd of some 2,000 guests at Leverick Bay, with more spectators at each stop across the territory.

The event will be led by Alex Yates and Joel Brillert.
