Advance Polling Stations open from 9:00 AM today

Polling stations across the [British] Virgin Islands will open from 9:00 AM on Advance Polling Day, today, April 20, 2023.

10 polling stations will be active today, including on Virgin Gorda and Anegada.

The Office of the Elections Supervisor has said Advance Polling Stations will operate from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Tortola and Virgin Gorda, and from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon on Anegada.

16, 131 persons are registered to vote in the 2023 General Elections of the [British] Virgin Islands, according to the Revised Voters’ List for 2023.

Voter counts on Advance Polling will be given by the Supervisor of Elections on Polling Day during the live count.

10 polling stations will be active today, April 20, 2023, including on Virgin Gorda and Anegada.



42 candidates

Meanwhile, 42 candidates were nominated for the General Elections on Nomination Day, April 13, 2023, to contest for the 13 available seats in the House of Assembly.

Only the VIP has a full slate of 13 candidates for the 2023 General Elections.

PVIM has nine candidates on its slate while the NDP also has nine candidates.
