Andrew Tate's Assets Returned as Romania Lifts Travel Ban
Influencer Andrew Tate regains properties and vehicles following the removal of a travel restriction imposed during a human trafficking investigation.
Social media influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have had several assets, including properties, vehicles, bank accounts, and company shares, returned to them by Romanian authorities.
A spokesperson for the brothers confirmed that this development occurred after a travel ban initially imposed on them amid an ongoing human trafficking investigation was lifted.
On Thursday, the brothers traveled from Bucharest to Florida in the United States.
Reports indicate that the Trump administration urged the Romanian government to lift the travel restrictions on the Tates earlier this month.
In an official statement, the spokesperson announced that among the returned assets were six vehicles, including two Audis, a Nissan, a Mercedes-Benz, and a Ferrari.
Additionally, Andrew Tate's complete stake in “War Room Vegas” and Tristan Tate's 50% ownership in “SC Spirit House Enterprises” were also returned.
Romania's anti-organized crime agency, DIICOT, stated that prosecutors had approved the modification of the travel ban, allowing the brothers to leave the country.
However, DIICOT clarified that the Tates must still adhere to the requirement of appearing before judicial authorities whenever summoned.
The agency warned that any deliberate violation of these obligations could lead to a more stringent restriction of liberty.
In response to the asset return and travel ban lifting, four women who have accused Andrew Tate of rape and coercive control and have lodged a civil claim against him in the UK expressed their distress.
They released a joint statement expressing disbelief and stating that they felt retraumatized by the Romanian authorities' decision to relent under pressure from the Trump administration.
The Tate brothers were initially arrested in December 2022. They are currently facing serious allegations in Romania, including trafficking minors, engaging in sexual intercourse with a minor, and money laundering.
Another case against them, involving allegations of human trafficking and forming a criminal gang to sexually exploit women, has been returned to prosecutors for further examination.
Moreover, Bedfordshire Police in the UK have issued a European arrest warrant regarding separate allegations of rape and human trafficking involving the brothers, which they have denied.
These allegations date back to between 2012 and 2015.
