Resumption of Controversial NatCon 2024 Conference in Brussels

International right-wing conference continues after legal intervention against initial shutdown over public order concerns

The NatCon 2024 international right-wing conference resumed this morning in Brussels, one day after Belgian authorities forced a temporary halt, citing potential public order disruptions.
Organizers, including prominent politicians from across the continent, successfully petitioned a Brussels court which, in a late-night ruling, issued an injunction allowing the event to proceed.

NatCon, an annual conference, this year takes place in Belgium ahead of the European Parliament elections scheduled for June 6-9. There is a palpable concern among mainstream European parties that disillusioned voters may shift their support to the extreme right, some of whose representatives are attending the conference. Under the theme "National Conservatism and the Preservation of the Nation-State in Europe," participants have already voiced opposition to EU immigration policies, climate change measures, 'woke' indoctrination, and the activities of multinational organizations like the EU itself.
