Governor John Rankin Expresses Concern Over Single-Source Procurements by Government

Governor John Rankin is concerned about the number of single-source procurements undertaken by the government.
There were several contracts agreed in the weeks preceding the General Election.

The Cabinet Secretary provided an update for the reporting period of 1 January 2023 to 21 April 2023, which included one tender waiver, nineteen publicly tendered contracts, and nine single-source procurements.

Governor Rankin noted that better planning would lead to better procurement and improved value for money from government contracts.

However, he remains concerned about the length of time it is taking to publish tender waivers.
