How to Watch the 2026 Winter Olympics in the UK: Channels, Schedule and Team GB Line-Up

Comprehensive coverage of Milano-Cortina 2026 comes via TNT Sports, BBC and Discovery+ with multiple ways for British viewers to follow Team GB across events
The 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo are underway and United Kingdom viewers have a range of options to watch the action live or on catch-up throughout the fortnight-long competition.

Milano-Cortina 2026 began with early competition ahead of the Opening Ceremony on February six, with events continuing until February twenty-two.

Coverage for UK audiences is anchored by TNT Sports and Discovery+, with supplementary free-to-air broadcasts on the BBC and live streaming across BBC iPlayer and digital platforms.

TNT Sports and its parent service Discovery+ hold the principal broadcast rights and are offering extensive live coverage of every sport, venue and medal event, with more than eight-hundred and fifty hours of action on air.

TNT Sports Two serves as the main Olympic channel, typically starting coverage at eight in the morning with live competition from nine until ten each day, while additional live feeds are available on Discovery+ for subscribers.

The BBC is also providing a significant free-to-air window for the Games with more than four-hundred and fifty hours of live action planned across its channels.

Major events will be shown on BBC One and BBC Two daily from around nine in the morning to ten at night, with expert presenters from the UK and Olympic champions offering commentary and analysis.

A dedicated streaming stream, known as Olympics Extra, will run on BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app from eight in the morning until eleven at night, delivering access to additional events not broadcast on television.

The broad schedule spans all core winter sports including alpine and cross-country skiing, figure skating, ice hockey, snowboarding, skeleton, speed skating and biathlon.

In addition to live television, BBC Sport is featuring highlights, live text updates and athlete profiles to help audiences follow the Games.

Team GB has a strong presence in these Games with an expanded delegation of athletes across multiple disciplines, with confirmed competitors in curling, skiing, bobsleigh, skeleton, snowboarding and other events.

Their campaigns kicked off with mixed doubles curling and will unfold across the schedule as British competitors seek to build on past successes.

For viewers seeking a combination of subscription and free content, the current arrangements mean that TNT Sports and Discovery+ offer the broadest live coverage, while the BBC provides accessible coverage of key competitions and supplementary streams.

Fans can tailor their viewing to their interests, from headline events in prime viewing slots on BBC channels to 24-hour live feeds and extensive coverage on TNT Sports and Discovery+.
