Injured Adaejah T. Hodge pulls out of 2023 Carifta Games

The world was looking on to see the teenage sprint phenom Adaejah T. Hodge at the 2023 Carifta Games in The Bahamas; however, it will have to wait until next year perhaps, as the Virgin Islander has pulled out of the games due to an ankle injury.

This is according to the BVI Athletics Association (BVIAA).

"While preparing for competition, Hodge experienced a slight ankle roll, which caused some discomfort. Withdrawal from the events was done as a precaution from risking further injury," the BVIAA stated today, April 9, 2023.

Hodge won the gold medal in the 100m, 200m and Long Jump events at the 2022 Carifta Games in Jamaica.

Word reaching Virgin Islands News Online is that Virgin Islands (VI) sprinter, Adaejah T. Hodge will no longer compete in the U20 100m race at the 2023 Carifta Games being held at the Thomas Robinson Stadium in Nassau Bahamas.
