Instagram model Natalia Garibotto: Pope Francis ‘like’ was good for business

Instagram model Natalia Garibotto: Pope Francis ‘like’ was good for business

Never mind the Book of Job - she’s booking jobs. Natalia Garibotto, who caused a sinful scandal when Pope Francis’ Instagram account liked a steamy photo of her, says the papal publicity gained her 600,000 followers - and now she’s making more money because of it.
Garibotto, who says she is religious and attends church, tells us she was “shocked” when she saw the “like” and thought it was a “big deal.” But she seems to be taking an entrepreneurial view of the divine incident.

“I make money off Instagram,” Garibotto tells Page Six, saying that attention has helped her be able to have “more leverage” on brands.

The model, who poses mostly in bikinis and lives in Miami, said her new pope-loving following “gave me a confidence to post more in clothes and make deals in fashion.”

Garibotto is also a gamer and has her own platform on Twitch, where she recently hosted a special event in which she told her followers about digital banking and financial health platform Ahead Financials while playing “Call of Duty.”

The pope’s “like” has been deleted. According to reports, the pontiff’s social media are run by a team. “We can exclude that the ‘like’ came from the Holy See, and it has turned to Instagram for explanations,” a Vatican spokesperson told the Guardian of the probe.

On Wednesday, Pope Francis’ Instagram account was accused of liking another racy photo of an OnlyFans model.
