Jamaican man charged with 3 counts of Incest

A Jamaica national residing in the Virgin Islands has been slapped with three charges of Incest.

This is according to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) in its Arrest Blotter for the period September 19 to October 2, 2021.

Police said they made the arrest on September 20, 2021.

“Police arrested and charged a 34-year-old male native of Jamaica with three counts of Incest. He was granted bailed in the sum of $60,000 signed surety to appear before Magistrate’s Court at a later date,” the Arrest Blotter published today, October 11, 2021, stated.

THEFT


On 20-09-2021 at 0900hrs, Police arrested and charged Alston McCoy Crayers, 44, a native of St. Vincent, residing in Shepherd Hill with three counts of Theft.

BURGLARY


*  On 22-09-2021 at 1534hrs, Police arrested and charged KieAndre Williams, 18, of Paraquita Bay with two counts of Burglary and Breach of Curfew. He appeared before Magistrate’s Court and was granted bail in the sum of $20,000 with one signed surety for his later reappearance.
*  On 27-09-2021 at 1140hrs, Police arrested and charged Marvin Gumbs 44, of no fixed place of abode, for Burglary and Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm. He was remanded until his appearance at a later date.
*  On 09-29-2021 at 1045hrs, Police arrested and charged Thurman Smith, 43, of Old Plantation for Burglary. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 with one signed surety to appear before Magistrate Court on 28-10-2021.
*  On 09-29-2021 at 0715hrs, Police arrested and charged Eric Casey, 30, of Scatliffe Alley, for Burglary. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 28-10-2021.

ILLEGAL ENTRY


On 22-09-2021 at 2250hrs, Police arrested and charged Johan Sean Griffith, 34, for Illegal Entry. He pled guilty before the Magistrate’s Court and was sentenced to six months in prison.

ASSAULT OCCASIONING ACTUAL BODILY HARM


On 23-09-2021 at 0837hrs, Police arrested and charged Kevin Smith, 27, of James Young Estate for Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 with one signed surety to appear before Magistrate’s Court on 28-10-2021.

THREATENING LANGUAGE


On 24-09-2021 at 1915hrs, Police arrested and charged Kelly Williams, 34, a native of Grenada, of Harrigan Estate for Threatening Language. Disorderly Conduct, Failure to Comply With Order from Police, Obstructing Traffic and Threatening Language. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 with one surety to appear before Magistrate’s Court on 05-11-2021.

RECKLESS DRIVING


On 26-09-2021 at 2240hrs, Police arrested and a charged 17-year-old male of Hannahs Estate with two counts of Reckless Driving, two counts of Failing to Stop at a Stop Light, Driving without a Drivers Licence and Driving when not covered by Third Party Risks insurance. He was granted bail in a sum of $5,000 with one surety to appear before Magistrate’s Court on 28-10-2021.

UNLAWFUL SEXUAL INTERCOURSE WITH A GIRL UNDER 16 YEARS


On 01-10-2021 at 0955hrs, Police arrested and charged a 16-year-old of Purcell Estate for Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a Girl under the age of 16 years. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 with one signed surety to appear before Magistrate’s Court on 10-11-2021.

BREACH OF TRUST


*  On 09-30-2021 at 0615hrs, Police arrested and charged Karina Brea, 35, of Long Bush for Breach of Trust. She appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was granted bail in a sum of $60,000 signed surety for her later appearance.
*  On 09-30-2021 at 0748hrs, Police arrested and charged Mark Kendall, 34, of Hannah's Estate for Breach of Trust. He appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was granted bail in a sum of $60,000 signed surety for his later appearance.
*  On 09-30-2021 at 0951hrs, Police arrested and charged Sharlene Maduro, 47, of Paraquita Bay for Breach of Trust. She appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was granted bail in a sum of $60,000 signed surety for her later appearance.

CRUELTY TO CHILD


On 09-30-2021 at 1612hrs, Police arrested and charged a 34-year-old male native of St Vincent but residing at Major Bay with Threatening Language and Cruelty to a Child. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 to appear before Magistrate’s Court on 03-11-2021 at 0900hrs.
