Kadeem Maynard has agreed to plead guilty to conspiracy to import cocaine in a plea deal with prosecutors in the United States.
He will avoid a possible life sentence in prison, but will face a mandatory minimum term of 10 years unless the judge determines he is "safety valve eligible." Kadeem's mother, Oleanvine Pickering-Maynard, also accepted a plea deal and agreed to cooperate fully with prosecutors in their case against former premier Andrew
Fahie.
The Maynards face sentencing on August 21, and will likely be required to forfeit any property obtained through the criminal activity and cooperate with prosecutors.
