Kedimone Rubaine appointed Director of Gov’t Customer Service

Career public servant Ms Kedimone Rubaine has been confirmed to the post of Director of Government Customer Service, effective December 1, 2022.

As Director of Customer Service, Ms. Rubaine will be responsible for providing strategic and technical leadership for customer relations for the Public Service to ensure that services are being consistently delivered to all customers of the Government of the Virgin Islands in line with the vision, values, service charters, standards and the Accountability Framework of the Public Service.

Prior to this appointment, Ms. Rubaine served as the Private Secretary to the Deputy Governor since 2018, and Deputy Governor, Mr. David Archer, Jr. said that this appointment is very special to him particularly after working with Ms. Rubaine as his private secretary for so many years.

“Not only am I confident that Ms. Rubaine is the person most suited for this role, I am also confident that this appointment marks the beginning of excellent customer service throughout the Government. I have watched Ms. Rubaine already work tirelessly to improve the customer service experiences, and now as Director of Customer Service, she can better exact her vision and expertise,” The Deputy Governor said.

Regarding her appointment, Ms. Rubaine said that she is honored to be the one to take up the mantle and execute this new role, “I have had the benefit of being in the public service for many years and the experience of serving in different capacities, especially those which required me to serve as Business Change Manager, Customer Service Improvement, Public Service Transformation Programme."

Prior to her four years as Private Secretary, Ms. Rubaine also held various roles such as Data Entry Clerk, Administrative Cadet, Web Administrator, Personal Assistant to the Chief Training Officer, and Training Officer.

Mrs. Rubaine said the insight learned in her new role will allow her to develop a strategic framework to enhance Government Customer Service and added that she commanding this new role and supporting the customer service activities that would allow us to provide a world-class public service.
