Last Week, the Best Dressed Stars Opted for Romance and The Row

Last Week, the Best Dressed Stars Opted for Romance and The Row

Flowers, frills, and the Olsen twins ruled the week.

It’s hard to consider spring dressing without getting a little romantic. Pieces with emotional resonance feel especially relevant during the season filled with flowers, warm weather, and good vibes. This year, spring also serves as a moment of reemergence where many are stepping outdoors for the first time in months and embracing whimsy as a result. Last week celebrities embodied this mood via pieces with bohemian references and alluring throwbacks.

Emily Ratajakowski is never without an eye-catching outfit. The modeling star traded her slinky slip dresses and sportswear for Sofia the Label’s delicate Palermo dress when she stepped out for a stroll in Manhattan this weekend. With its ruffled skirt, blouson sleeves, and gauzy cotton, the look was made for sunny days and has become an it-item on Instagram. Instead of mirroring the styling seen online, Ratajakowski switched things up, removed the waist belt, added sneakers, and took things in a casual direction.

Elsewhere, florals took precedence. Zoey Deutch dazzled in Miu Miu’s neon green maxi dress detailed with hot pink bulbs on The Tonight Show. The punchy print demanded attention as the star chatted about her Audible series, A Total Switch Show, with host Jimmy Fallon on Zoom. Tamron Hall continued to showcase directional fashion by greeting her audience in Anna Mason’s pin-dot- and stripe-accented Bardot dress on her eponymous talk show. The look’s delicate details and homespun glamour gave the garden party trend a prairie twist.

Of course, prints and prettiness aren’t the only way to tackle spring style. This week, many in search of a modern alternative seemed to have the same idea: The Row. At the BRIT Awards, the sisters Haim showed off multiple pieces from the brand’s pre-fall 2021 collection, eschewing red carpet norms in the process. In Los Angeles, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley momentarily broke from her Bottega Veneta streak to wear The Row’s minimalist tank and a pair of white jeans as she headed out for lunch. Still, the best example of the Mary Kate and Ashley aesthetic came straight from the source, as Ashley hit the streets of New York in a turquoise blouse, tailored trousers, and flip flops of her own design.
