Man succumbs to injuries sustained in utility pole incident on Tortola

A man injured during an accident involving a utility pole yesterday, November 17, has died.
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force’s (RVIPF) Information Unit gave that indication while responding to questions from our news centre Friday morning, November 18.

“Police can confirm that this morning a man succumbed to injuries sustained in an incident near a utility pole in Paraquita Bay yesterday,” the RVIPF told BVI News.

“Details surrounding the incident are unclear at this time, therefore, no further information can be released,” it added.

The police have not yet disclosed the man’s identity.

Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports to our news centre is that the deceased is a utility worker who fell from the pole while conducting duties at the Paraquita Bay work site.
