Myron Walwyn Opens Constituency Office in Road Town, Tortola, with Free Notarial and Commission of Oaths Services
On June 5th, Sixth District Representative Myron Walwyn will open his constituency office in Road Town, Tortola, offering free notarial and Commission of Oaths services to residents of District 6.
The constituency office will be staffed with a Spanish-speaking attendant to assist Hispanic residents, and employment services will also be available.
Walwyn, who is a lawyer, explained that he is offering this service to his constituents as a way to help them without interfering with the business community.
"This is a service that as a representative, as a notary public and a commissioner of oaths – I want to give to the residents of D6," he said.
To access the free notary services, residents must provide proof of residency within District 6, such as a valid driver's license or voter's ID card.
The constituency office will use the voter's list to confirm residency.
This constituency office is part of a policy approved by the House of Assembly in November 2022, which provides funding for staffed constituency offices in each district to better serve the needs of constituents.
Walwyn plans to be at the office regularly to meet with residents and accept appointments.
