Paul McCartney Honours Bruce Springsteen at Ivor Novello Awards

Springsteen acknowledged the British weather he experienced during his performance in Sunderland the previous night.

Raye was named songwriter of the year, continuing her award-winning success by championing songwriters' rights and achieving significant milestones with her album My 21st Century Blues.

Jazz drummer Yussef Dayes won the best album award for Black Classical Music.

Victoria Canal received the best song musically and lyrically award for her track Black Swan.

Speakers Corner Quartet won best contemporary song for Geronimo Blues.

Dave and Central Cee secured the most performed work award for their hit Sprinter.

Jerskin Fendrix was recognized for the best original film score for Yorgos Lanthimos’s Poor Things.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor won the video game soundtrack category, and Arthur Sharpe won best television soundtrack.

Other honorees included Lana Del Rey, Skepta, KT Tunstall, and Bernie Taupin.

The awards are voted for by the Ivors Academy, consisting of songwriters and composers, with the chair Tom Gray emphasizing the significance of peer recognition.
