Queen Camilla taking rest for chest infection; Princess Kate to attend events with Prince William.
Queen Camilla of the United Kingdom will not participate in Remembrance Day activities as she recovers from a chest infection, Buckingham Palace announced.
The 77-year-old Queen, wife of King Charles, has been advised by her doctors to rest, leading to her absence from the annual Festival of Remembrance at London's Royal Albert Hall and the main ceremony at the Cenotaph war memorial.
Remembrance Day honors those who lost their lives in conflicts and is observed on the closest Sunday to November 11, marking the end of World War One.
Instead, Queen Camilla will commemorate the event privately at home.
Meanwhile, Princess Kate, who has been recovering from cancer treatment, will join the Remembrance events with
Prince William and other family members.
Having finished chemotherapy, the Princess of Wales is gradually returning to public duties.
Her last public appearance was in October, when she met the families of three murdered girls in northwest England.
King Charles, currently undergoing cancer treatment, recently traveled to Australia and Samoa.
