Authorities respond to multiple incidents in Putney and Croydon amid ongoing investigations and community outreach
A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder following the fatal stabbing of a 75-year-old man early Friday morning.
The incident occurred at a property on Deodar Road in Putney, south-west London.
Authorities, who were alerted to the stabbing at 3:36 am, confirmed that the suspect is believed to be known to the victim and is currently in police custody.
Scotland Yard is conducting a post-mortem examination, with formal identification pending.

In a separate incident, five individuals were injured Thursday morning in a suspected stabbing near an Asda warehouse in Croydon, south London.
Responding to reports at Marlowe Way in Beddington, the London Ambulance Service transported one person to a major trauma center and four others to different hospitals.
The Metropolitan Police noted that a 54-year-old man sustained non-life threatening injuries and confirmed an arrest in connection with the event.
Further developments in Croydon involve a murder charge after a 31-year-old woman, Jamelatu Tsiwah, was found deceased on Bensham Lane.
Emergency services pronounced her dead on the scene after responding to reports of an unresponsive individual.
Larry Nimoh, aged 21, was charged with murder and attempted murder, with police confirming a known association between him and Ms. Tsiwah.
A post-mortem examination revealed neck compression as the cause of death.
Authorities have released a second suspect on bail as investigations proceed.
