Red Sea: New images show British ship Rubymar has not sunk

The British-registered Rubymar has been attacked in the Red Sea and sustained damage but remains afloat, contrary to Houthi claims of its sinking.
The BBC verified by images that the ship, although listed, has not submerged and is being towed to Djibouti, with its fate still uncertain due to the severity of the damage.

The Rubymar incident marks a significant escalation in a series of attacks on vessels in the region, which have persisted despite US and UK retaliatory strikes against Houthi forces in Yemen.

The ongoing conflict has disrupted shipping through a key trade route, and the UK government has strongly denounced the Houthi actions, with threats of further responses from allied forces.
