Reform UK's growth follows Farage's return to politics and Sunak's tax cut pledge of seventeen billion pounds.
Nigel Farage's Reform UK Party has overtaken Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's Conservative Party in an opinion poll conducted by YouGov for The Times newspaper.
The poll, which surveyed 2,211 people between June 12 and 13, showed Reform UK at 19%, an increase from 17%, while the Conservatives remained unchanged at 18%.
The Labour Party led with 37%.
This shift comes after Farage announced his return to frontline politics and a pledge by Sunak to cut seventeen billion pounds in taxes.
Despite the poll results, Reform UK's widespread support might not translate to many parliamentary seats due to Britain's 'winner takes all' electoral system.
The party, founded in 2018 as the Brexit Party, supports populist causes like stricter immigration laws.
Other polls still place the Conservatives ahead of Reform UK.
