Zelensky Stresses Forced Peace with Russia at UN

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told the UN that Russia must be forced into a peace settlement and criticized Iran and North Korea for supporting Russia's war efforts. He questioned Russian President Vladimir Putin's sincerity and announced a planned 'peace summit.' US Secretary of State Antony Blinken criticized China, while China called for diplomatic solutions.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed a special UN Security Council session, emphasizing that Russia can only be forced into a peace settlement.

Zelensky criticized any negotiations on Moscow's terms and questioned the sincerity of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He condemned military support to Russia from Iran and North Korea, labeling it as criminal.

The Ukrainian president also mentioned his upcoming meeting with US President Joe Biden and the planned 'peace summit,' encouraging participation from China and India.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken criticized China for indirectly supporting Russia's military build-up, while China advocated for diplomatic solutions.
