Thousands March in London Over Deaths in Custody and Riots

Thousands of demonstrators in London marched to address concerns over deaths in police custody and support those jailed following summer riots. The United Families and Friends Campaign gathered in Trafalgar Square, while supporters of Tommy Robinson marched between Victoria Station and Whitehall. Prominent figures including Jeremy Corbyn addressed the crowd amidst heightened police presence and reported arrests.
In a series of marches across London, thousands of demonstrators focused on issues surrounding deaths in police custody and the UK's summer riots.

The United Families and Friends Campaign held its annual march in Trafalgar Square, attended by family members of those who died in police custody, including the family of Chris Kaba.

Concurrently, a demonstration organized on behalf of Tommy Robinson occurred between Victoria Station and Whitehall to support those jailed for rioting.

A counter-protest by Stand Up To Racism was also held.

At the Trafalgar Square event, families of those who died in custody delivered a handwritten note to 10 Downing Street, expressing their grief and demand for justice.

This event followed the acquittal of Metropolitan Police officer Martin Blake in the shooting of Chris Kaba.

The demonstrations were marked by speeches from prominent figures, including former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.

Several arrests were made, highlighting the tensions within the city.
