The procession of troupes started from McNamara after 2:00pm and made its way along Waterfront Drive to Festival Grounds in Road Town.

Leading the parade this year were Parade Marshall Ms Hariette Rivera and Bernard ‘Yampie’ Nibbs, who the 2022 Emancipation Festival is named after.

Charles; Dance group Dingolay; Digicel; The BVI communal group; VIBE routine and Moko Jumbies.

There was no judging this year.

The Virgin Islands Festival and Fairs Committee (VIF&FC) came in for high praises from both Premier Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) and Minister for Education, Culture, Youth Affairs and Sports Honourable Sharie B. de Castro (AL) for pulling off the parade despite the short time frame for approval of activities and the late release of limited funds.
