Sir Elton John has revealed he is unable to finish his new album due to ongoing eyesight problems following an eye infection contracted in July.
The pop icon, who attended the Broadway opening of his musical 'Tammy Faye', disclosed on ABC's Good Morning America that he has been unable to see from his right eye for four months, and his left eye is compromised as well.
Despite the vision issues, Sir Elton has continued making public appearances, including at premieres of his documentary 'Never Too Late' in Toronto and London and performing at Dua Lipa's concert in Royal Albert Hall.
He is receiving treatment and remains hopeful for recovery.
His last album of original material was released in 2016, and although he announced the completion of a new project with lyricist Bernie Taupin at the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame ceremony last November, his recent comments indicate the album's delay.
