PepsiCo UK Relocates Hundreds of Staff to Reading’s Landmark One Station Hill Development
The food and beverage giant consolidates operations in the town centre as part of wider urban regeneration and workplace strategy
PepsiCo UK has moved its Reading base and hundreds of employees into new offices at the landmark One Station Hill development in central Reading, marking a significant transition for the company’s UK operations and contributing to the ongoing transformation of the town centre.
The relocation from its previous Green Park site to the new mixed-use complex reflects the firm’s desire to create a more modern, collaborative and sustainable workplace for its staff.
The move sees PepsiCo taking prime office space across two floors of the £850 million One Station Hill building, part of a major regeneration project designed to revitalise Reading’s central gateway and provide a connected live-work-play environment adjacent to the town’s main railway station.
The development has already attracted other major occupiers, including professional services firm PwC and flexible workspace provider NewFlex, with more than forty per cent of the building let ahead of practical completion later this year.
PepsiCo UK & Ireland’s general manager, Jason Richards, described the relocation as an exciting step in embedding the company more deeply within Reading’s urban core and supporting a vibrant business ecosystem.
The new office space is intended to support flexible working patterns, with a focus on collaboration, sustainability and enhanced employee experience, aligning with PepsiCo’s broader corporate goals around environmental performance and talent attraction.
The move also underscores Reading’s growing appeal as a business destination within the Thames Valley and beyond, bolstered by improved transport links such as the Elizabeth Line and longstanding economic dynamism in the region.
One Station Hill, designed with contemporary amenities and high environmental standards, is seen as a catalyst for further investment and development in the town’s centre, consolidating its position as a key commercial and community hub.
PepsiCo’s relocation to One Station Hill is expected to be completed over the course of this year as part of the building’s phased occupation.
The company’s decision to remain in Reading while transitioning to a more central location highlights broader trends among global firms seeking urban offices that combine connectivity with sustainable design and enhanced workplace culture.
