Royal visit highlights programs empowering youth through sport and environmental initiatives
Prince William visited Ocean View Secondary School in Cape Town, South Africa, engaging in a rugby session with children from nearby townships.
The visit, organized by the Atlas Charity founded by rugby legend Jason Leonard, aims to support youth facing challenging home environments.
Joined by renowned South African rugby players, including Tendai 'The Beast' Mtawarira,
Prince William participated in training and interacted with aspiring players.
The prince's visit coincides with his focus on the Earthshot Prize, an environmental initiative awarding £1m to five eco-friendly projects.
During his visit,
Prince William addressed 120 young leaders from Africa and South East Asia involved in the Earthshot Climate Leaders Youth Programme, encouraging them as future change-makers.
The Earthshot Prize winners will be announced in Cape Town on Wednesday.
