TikTok's Ireland Operations Face Job Cuts Amid Global Restructuring
Around 300 positions are under threat as the video-sharing platform implements a redundancy program.
Hundreds of jobs at TikTok's Irish operations are reportedly under threat as the company launches a global restructuring initiative.
Approximately 300 positions are at risk, affecting a significant portion of the workforce employed at TikTok's Dublin offices, which comprise nearly 3,000 employees.
The Department of Enterprise in Ireland received a collective redundancy notification from TikTok Technology Limited on March 4, 2025. A representative from the department confirmed the notification and stated, "The department received a collective redundancy notification in relation to potential redundancies at TikTok Technology Limited." The spokesperson noted that any further inquiries should be directed to the company itself.
TikTok's Dublin offices were moved to The Sorting Office at the Docklands in December 2023, signaling the company's continued expansion and investment in its Irish operations prior to the current challenges.
As the situation develops, TikTok has been approached for further comments regarding the redundancies but had not provided an immediate response.
