An Australian skydiver survived a near fatal mishap when his reserve chute snagged on a Cessna Caravan’s wing flap during a group jump over Tully
The parachute deployed prematurely at about 15,000 feet, wrapped around the tail, and left him hanging as his legs hit the stabilizer. He cut himself free with a hook knife, opened his main chute, rejoined the formation, and landed with minor injuries.
