Australia's Grace Brown clinched gold in the women's race, with the United States' Chloe Dygert earning bronze.

The races, the first in Olympic history to have men and women compete over the same distance, took place over a 32.4km route starting at Esplanade des Invalides and ending at Pont Alexandre III.
