Condor Ferries to Rebrand as Brittany Ferries Channel Islands

Collaboration with Brittany Ferries to Transform Channel Islands Ferry Services
Christophe Mathieu, CEO of Condor Ferries, announced that the company will be rebranding as Brittany Ferries Channel Islands.

This transformation involves rebranding the ships and implementing the Brittany Ferries experience.

The rebranding process will be phased, with updates to the website and other services.

Condor Ferries, which has been serving the Channel Islands for 60 years, will continue operations in Jersey until the contract ends in March 2025.

A previous request from Deputy Kirsten Morel revealed that Condor sought between £11m and £36m to ensure ferry operations.

However, signing a 15-year contract to operate Guernsey's ferries means the additional funding is unnecessary.

The company's debt has been restructured, with Brittany Ferries taking on the debt as the majority shareholder.

Mr. Mathieu expressed confidence in Guernsey's standalone ferry viability, suggesting that operating fewer ships would optimize the schedule.

He is awaiting the outcome of Condor's bid for Jersey's ferry services and stated that taxpayers will not need to cover costs if awarded the Jersey contract.
