Firefighters Battle Industrial Blaze in Cumbernauld, Six Hospitalized

Firefighters have been actively combating a significant blaze that erupted on the afternoon of April 1 at Blairlinn Industrial Estate in Cumbernauld, Scotland.
The incident was reported shortly after 2:35 PM, prompting the immediate dispatch of six fire engines to the scene.
As efforts continued into the night, six individuals required hospital treatment as a result of the fire, although none of their injuries have been described as life-threatening.
In response to the situation, residents in the Greenfaulds area were advised to remain indoors and secure their doors and windows to avoid exposure to smoke from the blaze.
Emergency services also evacuated several neighboring business properties as a precautionary measure.
By 6:30 AM the following morning, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that two fire pumps and a high reach appliance remained on site to manage the ongoing situation.
In light of the incident, Sergeant Kevin Anderson from Police Scotland stated that an investigation will be initiated to determine the cause of the fire.
