HPE Launches AI-Native Network Management Platform with UK-Specific Data Sovereignty Options
Hewlett Packard Enterprise releases UK-local instance of Aruba Networking Central, enabling telemetry data storage on British soil
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has introduced a UK-specific deployment of its Aruba Networking Central platform, allowing British businesses to store network telemetry data within the United Kingdom while also accessing global AI-driven insights.
The new instance addresses heightened demand for data sovereignty amid regulatory and sector-specific pressure in the finance, government and education fields.
The solution offers multiple hosting models tailored for the UK market: a public-cloud option via HPE’s GreenLake infrastructure with global points of presence; a virtual-private-cloud (VPC) deployment hosted in the UK to support stringent “data at rest” controls; and an on-premises appliance, including a version certified to Federal Information Processing Standard 140-2 (FIPS 140-2) for high-security environments.
According to Director of HPE Networking UK & Ireland Mark Weeks, “the UK has a strong push for data sovereignty… the UK instance of HPE Aruba Networking Central provides critical flexibility for local control.”
Built for wired and wireless network environments alike, the platform employs artificial-intelligence-native analytics to examine telemetry from global deployments, with local data anonymised and kept under UK jurisdiction.
Insights span device connectivity, Wi-Fi performance, network-health and security.
HPE says this lets UK enterprises leverage a global data lake while maintaining regional control.
Analysts say the launch signals HPE’s bid to serve regulated and global businesses needing agile network management solutions in jurisdictions with evolving data-residency demands.
The UK-specific instance enables organisations to compete for contracts where local hosting is a requirement, while maintaining access to advanced network-operation intelligence.
With the new offering now available, UK businesses can deploy the platform under whichever model best suits their regulatory and operational needs, combining local deployment choices with unified AI-powered network oversight.
