Momentum Padel Sports Launches UK E-commerce Platform Amid Nation’s Padel Boom
Specialist retailer enters UK market with curated racket gear and expert buying guidance as padel participation surges
Momentum Padel Sports has officially gone live with a dedicated UK online store catering to the nation’s rapidly growing padel market.
The specialist retailer offers a streamlined selection of rackets, performance footwear and accessories paired with clear, practical buying guidance aimed at helping players at every level make informed choices.
The launch comes at a time of exceptional growth for racketsport padel in the UK. According to the national governing body, more than 400,000 adults and juniors played padel at least once in the 12 months to end-2024—a marked rise from 89,000 in 2021. Court infrastructure is also expanding rapidly, with nearly 900 courts spread across roughly 300 venues nationwide.
Founder Kaan Oglakci said the platform is designed to cut through the clutter of choices and deliver equipment “that actually helps you play better” with transparent advice around racket shapes, balance, materials and durability.
Emphasising service and education over hype, he noted that the aim is to support both newcomers and regular players refining their setup.
Momentum Padel Sports positions itself as a player-first brand with key pillars: curated edit over vast inventory, plain-English education rather than unclear tech jargon, and customer-first service mirrored in independent reviews and responsive support.
The offering includes curated rackets grouped by ability and playing style, explained by variables such as head shape (round for control, diamond for power), weight/balance, core/face materials, and frame durability.
The launch’s timing reflects broader market opportunity.
With demand for easy-to-learn, social racket sports rising, the UK is witnessing a surge in padel participation and infrastructure development.
As one industry note observed, the number of planning applications for new padel courts increased by more than 110 per cent in 2024, signalling growing investment.
For the UK market, Momentum Padel Sports aims to meet both the educational and product-access gaps that many players identify—namely, a proliferation of choices but limited guidance.
The site offers performance-gear brand curation alongside content that demystifies technical specifications and matches items to player profiles, including considerations around comfort, arm-health and shot stability.
With the sport’s profile rising and more venues becoming available, the retailer enters the market seeking to capitalise on the momentum and support players in a sport still emerging from niche status into mainstream visibility.
